There are three brand-new BMR single family homes for sale priced to be affordable to Low-income (80% Area Median Income) and Moderate-Income (120% Area Median Income) households available at Poppy Lane by DR Horton. The homes are being offered during the 2024 pre-application period. Preference Points and Income limits apply.

Update: The application period for these homes has closed. A lottery was conducted on December 3, 2024, to determine the ranking order of all applicants.

APPLICATION DETAILS

On December 3, 2024, a lottery will be held for all eligible applications submitted during the application period, the results will be sent to all eligible households. Applicants will be invited to submit full applications with supporting documents.

There are two lottery applications for these residences. If you believe that your family qualifies for both income brackets, please submit a separate application for each income bracket.

Applicants can receive up to a maximum of 2 points based on the criteria below:

  • To qualify for one preference point, at least one member of the household must currently: 1) maintain a primary residence at an address located within Alameda County, 2) work for wages or salary within the boundaries of Alameda County, or 3) own or operate a business in Alameda County.

  • To qualify for one additional preference point, a member of the household must currently: 1) maintain a primary residence at an address located within the City of San Leandro, 2) work for wages or salary within the boundaries of the City of San Leandro, or 3) own or operate a business in the City of San Leandro.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Applicants must have a minimum household size of 4 people.

  • Household must have minimum 3% down.

  • Household income must be below the income limits stated below.

  • Household must be able to qualify for a traditional 30-year loan through a mortgage lender.

  • The cost of the required solar purchase is $11,535, and is not included in the sales price, but has been taken into consideration in the affordable pricing calculation.
